Beaches in El Nido

El Nido's most accessible beaches by land are quieter and family-friendly; the spectacular lagoon/island beaches (Big Lagoon, Small Lagoon, etc.) are reached via organized island-hopping tours.

Good to Know

  • El Nido town beach itself is crowded with tour boats, scooters, trash, and tidal challenges—most visitors skip it in favor of nearby alternatives like Las Cabanas or Corong Corong.
  • Island-hopping tours depart early (~9 AM) and operate on fixed schedules; private boats offer flexibility to stagger departures and explore lagoons with fewer crowds.
  • Big Lagoon only allows non-motorized paddling (kayak/paddleboard) inside the lagoon—motorized boats anchor outside as an environmental protection measure.
  • Reef-safe sunscreen is encouraged or required by some tour operators to protect the protected lagoon areas.
  • All standard tours include lunch on a beach island; most food is grilled fish, rice, and fruit.
  • Book scooter or tricycle transport the night before; prices are firm in peak season and tricycle rates are higher at night (1.5–2x daytime fare after 9 PM).
  • Roads to Nacpan and Duli are unpaved and can be muddy after rain; standard cars are manageable but 4WD/high-clearance vehicles handle conditions better.
