Overall1/10Among the 1% weakest cities for wellness
Good to know
Good to Know
- Tashkent's premium wellness clubs (BeFit ONE, BeFit Sky, Equilibrium) cluster around the modern Tashkent City business district, which is also where many hotels and coworking-adjacent amenities are concentrated — a convenient base if fitness access matters.
- Membership pricing for these clubs is generally not published online and varies by tier (day pass vs. monthly vs. annual); it's worth contacting venues directly or visiting in person to get current rates.
- Dedicated standalone cryotherapy or ice-bath-only recovery studios are not common in Tashkent yet — cryotherapy here is typically offered as one service inside a larger spa (e.g., BeFit SPA) rather than as its own specialized recovery center.
- Most locally-based therapists and psychologists in Tashkent work primarily in Russian or Uzbek; if you need English-language therapy, a teletherapy platform (rather than walking into a local clinic) is the more reliable route.
- Tashkent's biohacking/longevity scene is genuinely early-stage — don't expect the cryotherapy, IV-drip, or dedicated longevity-clinic culture found in nomad hubs like Bangkok or Bali; functional/integrative medicine interest exists mainly through a few clinics and academic institutions rather than a consumer-facing scene.
- If sourcing any pharmaceutical or peptide product locally, be aware Uzbekistan's medicines regulator controls what can be legally sold and imported — unregistered products bought informally carry both legal and quality-control risk.

- Type
- Acupuncture / holistic therapy
- Description
- A clinic primarily built to serve the diplomatic corps and foreign residents that runs a dedicated acupuncture and holistic therapy service alongside its conventional medical departments.
- Regulatory Note
- Operates as a licensed private clinic rather than an unregulated practitioner.
Acupuncture / Traditional Chinese Medicine
- Name
- Local acupuncture / TCM directory listings (e.g. Osteo Medservis, Neyromed Servis, Almazmed-Line Centr)
- Description
- Uzbekistan's business directories list a number of small acupuncture-focused clinics and centers around Tashkent, mostly serving the local Russian/Uzbek-speaking population rather than international clients.
- Regulatory Note
- Quality and English-language service level is unverified for most of these listings — treat directory entries as a starting point, not a vetted recommendation.
Biohacking Longevity Scene
- Maturity
- Nascent — Tashkent does not yet have a visible, dedicated biohacking scene (no confirmed cryotherapy/longevity-clinic clusters, biohacker meetups, or dedicated longevity clinics found), but a functional-medicine and integrative-health interest is emerging.
- Peptides Legal Status
- illegal
- Peptides Note
- Uzbekistan regulates pharmaceuticals, including peptide-based compounds, tightly through its state medicines authority; unregistered peptides are not legally sold over the counter and importing them without authorization risks customs/legal issues. Independent, city-specific confirmation of enforcement practice for personal-use peptides was not found — treat this as a general legal-status caution rather than a confirmed enforcement pattern.
Notable Institutions
- Tashkent Medical Academy
- Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology
