Poiana Brașov is a small, dispersed ski-resort settlement, not a town with large shopping malls or a dense shopping district — retail here consists of individual ski/souvenir shops attached to hotels and rental centers along the resort's single main road, not a concentrated shopping zone.
Good to know
Good to Know
- Don't expect mall-style or department-store shopping in Poiana Brașov itself — retail is limited to ski/snowboard equipment rental shops, hotel gift shops, and a handful of small souvenir stalls scattered along the resort's main road near the cable car stations.
- For actual mall or dense shopping-district shopping (electronics, fashion chains, supermarkets), nomads typically head down to Brașov city, about 12 km away, which has proper shopping centers.
- There's no Apple Store or certified Apple repair shop in Poiana Brașov itself — plan on a short trip into Brașov city (about 20-25 minutes away) for any Apple purchase or repair.
- eMAG is the dominant online retailer in Romania and its own-stock orders tend to arrive reliably outside major sale events, but third-party Marketplace sellers on the same platform are a common source of delivery delays and quality complaints — check who the actual seller is before ordering, not just the eMAG brand.
- If you're staying in Poiana Brașov, ask your accommodation host in advance whether couriers deliver directly to the property or whether you'll need to arrange pickup from a locker/collection point in Brașov city.
