• The Turkish lira has seen sustained depreciation and high inflation, so TRY prices you see locally can shift quickly even when the underlying cost of living is stable — always check current listings rather than relying on older published figures.
• There is no city-wide monthly transit pass in Marmaris — locals just top up a Muğla Kart and pay per dolmuş ride, so budget for frequent small cash/card top-ups instead of one lump transport cost.
• Marmaris has very limited dedicated coworking infrastructure — effectively one small hub (Yeni Hub) in the town center — so many remote workers end up working from cafés or their accommodation's wifi instead.
• Dolmuş (shared minibus) fares are posted on a sign above the driver and paid in cash on boarding — carry small lira notes/coins since drivers often can't make change for large bills.
