Scene Summary
Cape Town has an active co-living market serving digital nomads and remote workers. Two established operators currently run dedicated co-living properties: Cape Coliving in the central Green Point neighborhood (since early 2022), and Nomadico, which operates community-focused homes in Kenilworth and Bloubergstrand (since 2023). Both operators emphasize community events, high-speed WiFi, dedicated workspaces, and long-term monthly stays.
Good to know
Good to Know
- Cape Coliving's Green Point location sits within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town Stadium, and Signal Hill, making it highly central for city exploration.
- Nomadico properties emphasize outdoor activities: Bloubergstrand sits on a beach with kitesurfing and Table Mountain views; Kenilworth is near the National Botanical Garden.
- Cape Coliving rates fluctuate dramatically by season—winter (June–August) rates are roughly 40–50% lower than summer, making it more affordable outside the peak season.
- Both operators require a minimum stay of at least 1 month for true monthly bookings; shorter stays may have different terms.
- Utilities and WiFi are included at both operators, removing hidden costs common in standard short-term rentals.
